WordPress sync
If you publish recipes on a WordPress site using WP Recipe Maker or Tasty Recipes, dough can sync those recipes into your library automatically.
Setting up WordPress sync
- Go to Settings > WordPress.
- Enter your WordPress site URL.
- Create a WordPress Application Password:
- In your WordPress admin, go to Users > Profile.
- Scroll to Application Passwords.
- Enter a name (like “dough”) and click Add New Application Password.
- Copy the generated password.
- Paste the application password into dough.
- Click Connect. dough tests the connection and detects your recipe plugin.
How sync works
- New recipes on your WordPress site are imported as Drafts in dough.
- Updated recipes are refreshed in dough — ingredients, instructions, and timing are updated. Your edits to the title, description, notes, and photos in dough are preserved.
- Deleted recipes on WordPress are flagged in dough for your review, not automatically deleted.
Sync runs on demand (click Sync Now in Settings) or automatically every 24 hours.
