Kit forms

dough can generate Kit forms for two purposes: capturing dietary preferences from new subscribers, and delivering lead magnets with opt-in forms.

Preference capture form

A standalone form for collecting dietary preferences from subscribers who sign up through your website, blog, or social media.

The form includes:

• Email field
• First name field
• Multi-select for dietary preferences: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto, Paleo, Nut-Free

When a subscriber fills out this form, their dietary preferences are written to the preferred_dietary_tags custom field in Kit and corresponding dietary tags are applied.

Lead magnet opt-in form

Created automatically when you generate a lead magnet. Includes the same dietary preference field plus a tag for tracking which lead magnet the subscriber opted into.

Embedding forms

Both form types provide an embed code that you can copy from your dough dashboard. Embed the code on your blog, Substack, landing page, or anywhere you want to collect subscribers.

Tip

Adding the dietary preference form to your main email signup gives you segmentation data from day one, before a subscriber has even received their first email from you.
